Making an Offer on Behalf of Your Client

So, you've signed up as a Real Estate Professional on FAIRPLAY. Great!

NOTE: Review our Help Center article titled "Signing Up & Representing Your Client as a Real Estate Professional" for more information on how to sign up and invite your client(s) to create an account. This article will also show you how to invite your client(s) directly from the offer form.

Walk through these simple steps to submit an offer on behalf of your client. First, go the Property Profile Page of the home your client is interested in. Click the blue "Submit Your Offer" button to pull up the offer form.

Under the "Offer Details" section, you will need to select which client you are representing in this offer. If your client hasn't made an account just yet, not to worry! Simply select "Add New Buyer" from the dropdown menu.

You will enter your client's first and last name and email address, and the system will automatically send them a link to create their account. Now, enter in the offer amount and Good Faith Deposit amount.

NOTE: If your client does not see the email in their inbox, make sure to have them check their spam/junk folder.

If your client has already secured financing for the purchase, in the next section you will be able to upload any supporting financial documents, such as a pre-qualification letter or proof of funds. If your client would like to use the Builder's in-house financing or preferred lender, you can click the link in the offer form or the link under the "Submit Your Offer" button to go to the preferred financing pre-qualification page. If your client is making a cash purchase with this offer, just upload a proof of funds.

In the "Terms" section, you will enter your client's preferred closing date, as well as any notes regarding the offer or financing. In the "Contingencies" section, you will check the box of any contingencies you want to include with your client's offer.

NOTE: Contingencies allowed will vary from property to property and builder to builder. Whatever contingencies are available will show up on the offer form.

Next you have sections for "Inclusions", "Exclusions", and "Message to Seller". Being that you are a real estate professional, you know what to do here!

Finally, you will need to check the box that says you have read and agree to the user agreement. You can view the user agreement directly from this form by clicking either of the links provided. Once you have checked the box, click the blue "Submit Offer" button.

This will bring up the Offer Confirmation window. Confirm the details are correct, or if you need to change anything click "Cancel" and you will be taken back to the offer form. Once you confirm the details of your offer, it will be live and published on the website.

If you ever need to change your offer, such as raising the offer to be higher than another offer that was placed after yours, you can do so any time prior to the offer deadline by clicking the blue "Submit/Edit Your Offer" button and adjusting the offer amount.
